Emily MacDonald Set for World Aquatics Championships in Qatar

MacDonald will represent Jamaica in search of Olympic qualifying bid
NEW YORK -- Columbia women's swimming and diving's Emily MacDonald is set to compete in the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar later this week. MacDonald will be competing to earn a bid into the Summer Olympics.
The World Aquatics Championships are the World Championships for six aquatic disciplines: swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming, and water polo. The championships are World Aquatics' largest and main event traditionally held biennially every odd year, with all six of the aquatic disciplines contested every championship.
MacDonald is representing Jamaica in the competition, competing in the 50-free and 100-free. The 100-free will take place on Thursday, February 15 at 1:30 a.m. Eastern time. The 50-free will take place on Saturday, February 17 at 1:30 a.m. Eastern time.

Following the event, MacDonald will return home and rejoin the Lions to continue preparations for the Ivy League Championships which will take place from February 21-24 in Providence, Rhode Island.
