NEW YORK —
Columbia track and field, rowing, women's golf, lacrosse and women's tennis are featured in this week's edition of Lions on the Road. Every week, GoColumbiaLions.com will be using "Lions on the Road" to preview that week's upcoming games and events happening off campus.
TRACK AND FIELD
The track & field team is back in action this weekend, with two meets on tap. The Lions will be sending student-athletes to compete in both the UCONN Northeast Challenge in Connecticut on both Friday and Saturday, and the Larry Ellis Invite hosted by Princeton on Friday. The outdoor season is off to a good start for the Lions, and that success continued last weekend. Columbia sent a small portion of the team to Florida to compete in the Miami Alunmi Invitational where
Obiora Okeke had another huge performance, setting a program record in the discus throw with a mark of 52.28m. In addition,
McKinlee Morris and Okeke set new program records in the outdoor shot put, with marks of 13.40m and 18.21m, respectively. Meanwhile, back at Randall's Island at the METS Outdoor Championships, the women finished in fifth place with 59 points while the men placed ninth with 27 points. The Lions will look to keep the momentum going this weekend.

Anna Becker both added a hat trick, while
Kate Cunning added a goal from the free-position arc.
