Rowing Teams Wrap Up Championship Events on Sunday

All women’s crews reach grand finals for first time since 2013
PENNSAUKEN, N.J & WORCESTER, Mass. — All three Columbia rowing teams were in action this weekend as the women's team raced at the Ivy League Championship Saturday and Sunday at Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J., while the heavyweights and lightweights competed at the EARC Championships on Sunday at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.
For the first time since 2013, all Columbia women's crews made the grand finals. The women's crew posted a pair of fifth place finishes on Sunday in the Varsity Four C Final 1 (8:31.854) and Varsity Eight Final 1 (6:46.387). Columbia finished sixth in the Varsity Four B Final 1 (8:16.505), 3V Eight Final 1 (7:31.855), Varsity Four Final 1 (8:00.018), and 2V Eight Final 1 (7:11.389).
In the team points race, Columbia and Harvard tied for fifth with 38 points. Paige Bryant received First Team All-Ivy and Jaia Wingard garnered Second Team All-Ivy.

On the men's side, Columbia's Varsity Heavyweight Four boat raced to a fourth place finish in the grand final with a time of 6:50.585. The 3V Lightweight Eight earned a sixth place spot in front of Princeton in the grand final with a time of 6:04.441. In the petite final, the 2V Heavyweight Eight came a second in front of Navy for fifth place.
