HANOVER, N.H. – The Columbia softball team lost both games of the doubleheader at Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon to drop to 16-24 overall with a 9-11 mark in Ivy League action.
Columbia struck first in the first game of the afternoon with a run in the top of the fourth inning.
Cami Neal scored on a
Mandy Pelatowski walk. Dartmouth added a run in the fifth the to tie the game before plating two runs in the sixth to hold on for the 3-1 win.
Raquel Reyes fired 5.0 innings and totaled four strikeouts as she allowed one run on two hits.
Charlotte Laidler (1-3) was charged with the loss as she allowed two runs on two hits in 1.0 inning of work.
Dartmouth used 20 hits to plate 22 runs in the second game of the afternoon as the Big Green took a 22-1 win to clinch the series victory.
Maddie Souza hit a triple in the third inning to score
Eleni Katsivalis for Columbia's lone run of the game.
Sarah Mikami (6-9) was charged with the loss as she gave up seven runs on five hits.
Lily McCord allowed nine runs on nine hits in 2.0 innings of work. Laidler came in and worked 1.2 innings and allowed six runs on six hits.
Columbia will meet Dartmouth in the series finale Sunday. First pitch is set for 11 a.m.
