Charlotte Buck ‘18CC Named to Team USA for Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Alexander Hedge ‘19CC selected as an Alternate
PRINCETON, N.J. — USRowing announced its Olympic Games Paris 2024 roster, which features Columbia alumnus Charlotte Buck '18CC on the Women's Eight and Alexander Hedge '19CC as an Alternate.
Rowing at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 will take place July 27-August 4. Buck will be racing in her second Olympics, having also competed in the Tokyo 2020 Games. The Nyack, New York native raced in the Women's Eight and finished in fourth place in Tokyo.
Buck was a First Team All-Ivy League selection in 2018, two-time First Team All-Region selection by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (2017 and 2018), and was selected to the Pocock Second Team All-America squad during her Columbia career.
The U.S. qualified 12 crews for the Olympics, which is tied with Romania in qualifying the most boats to race in Paris.
Hedge rowed at the stroke positions for the Varsity Eight in the EARC Sprints and IRA National Championships his senior year at Columbia. The Morristown, New Jersey native rowed with the Varsity Eight for three years and was a member of the 2016 IRA All-Academic Team.
