Lions’ 27-game slate tips on Nov. 4 at Loyola (Md.); home opener set for Nov. 9 vs. Delaware State
NEW YORK — Columbia men's basketball coach Jim Engles has announced the program's 2024-25 schedule. The Lions' campaign features 15 home games from Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium.

The Lions begin the season on the road for the eighth straight season with a tilt against Loyola (Md.) on Nov. 4 followed by a matchup at Villanova on Nov. 6. Columbia's home opener is slated for Nov. 9 vs. Delaware State at 2 p.m. The Lions then round out a three-game home stand with contests against Lehigh (Nov. 12) and Mercyhurst (Nov. 16).
The Lions make the short trip to Brooklyn for a matchup with LIU for the second straight year on Nov. 20. Columbia returns home for its first meeting vs. Stony Brook since 2017 on Nov. 23 before taking on New Hampshire Nov. 25 in New York City.
Following the Thanksgiving holiday, Columbia hits the road for its first game at UAlbany since Dec. 11, 2021. The Lions then open another three-game homestand beginning with contests against United States Merchant Marine Academy (Dec. 7) and Sarah Lawrence (Dec. 9). After a break for finals, Columbia hosts Fairfield on Dec. 28.
The non-conference slate wraps up with a meeting at Rutgers on Dec. 30. Columbia's Ivy League season begins on Jan. 11 vs. Cornell. The Lions then host Yale on Jan. 18 before their first conference road game at Princeton on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 20). Columbia travels to Philadelphia to play at Penn on Jan. 25.
Columbia tips off its first back-to-back of the season at home vs. Harvard (Jan. 31) and Dartmouth (Feb. 1). After a home matchup with Brown on Feb. 8, the Lions embark on a four-game road trip that includes two back-to-backs. Columbia plays at Dartmouth on Feb. 14 and Harvard Feb. 15 before a trip the next weekend at Brown (Feb. 21) and Yale (Feb. 22).
Columbia's final home games are scheduled for Feb. 28 vs. Princeton followed by Senior Night on March 1 vs. Penn. The regular season concludes on March 8 at Cornell.
The top-four regular season finishers in the conference will compete in this year's Ivy Madness, held at Pizzitola Sports Center on the campus of Brown University from March 14-16.
