Squash Hosts Harvard, Dartmouth to Kick Off Ivy League Play

NEW YORK – The Columbia men's and women's squash teams kick off the Ivy League slate this weekend by hosting Harvard and Dartmouth at the SL Green Streetsquash Center in Harlem.
The Lions are back in action for the first time in 2025 Saturday to host Harvard starting at 12 p.m. Columbia will then finish the weekend by hosting Dartmouth on Sunday for a 1 p.m. start.
MATCH COVERAGE

COLUMBIA IN THE RANKINGS
The Columbia men's squash sits at No. 8 in the College Squash Association rankings with a 3-1 overall record so far this season. The Lions have won three in a row after falling to Virginia in the season opener in November.
The Columbia women's squash team is ranked No. 9 in the CSA rankings with a 2-2 overall record this season. Columbia defeated Williams College in the most recent competition on December 8.
THE LAST TIME OUT
The Columbia men's and women's teams earned dominant wins over Williams College on December 8 to close out 2024. Franklyn Smith, Arhan Chandra, Paarth Ambani, Imad Athar, Laszlo Godde and Varun Fuloria posted wins against Williams on the men's side to lead Columbia to its third straight victory. Amal Izhar, Eva Salzman, Andreea Ghiorghisor, Kaavya Bansal, Eugenia Lie, Advita Sharma and Shaivi Rau all earned wins to help the Columbia women's team bounce back after a loss to Stanford.
PREVIEWING HARVARD
Harvard enters the weekend as the top-ranked team in women's college squash. Harvard has defeated Tufts, Dartmouth and Virginia to start the season 3-0. On the men's side, Harvard is ranked No. 6 with a 3-1 overall record. The Crimson own wins over Western Ontario, Tufts and Dartmouth.
PREVIEWING DARTMOUTH
The Dartmouth men's squad is ranked No. 12 in the CSA Rankings entering the weekend. The Big Green are 2-2 so far with wins against Rochester and Amherst College. On the women's side, Dartmouth is ranked No. 11 with a 2-2 overall mark. Dartmouth has defeated Georgetown and Amherst College.
