Men's Tennis
Three members of the Columbia men's tennis team will compete on the two coasts this week at a pair of events. Nicolas Kotzen and Sachin Palta will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. to compete in the ITA East Sectional Championships, while Michael Zheng will travel to San Diego, Calif., to compete in the ITA Conference Masters. All three Lions are competing for a spot in the upcoming NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships at Lake Nona, Fla., later this month. To secure their spot in the NCAAs, all three will need to advance to the semifinals. Zheng made his 2025-26 Columbia debut, winning the Ivy League Qualifier on October 27.

Women's tennis will have two athletes competing at the ITA Sectionals this week. Junior Gayathri Krishnan and sophomore Malak El Allami will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C., for a chance to earn a spot in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships later this fall. Krishnan begins play on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. at the Chewning Tennis Center, while El Allami begins play at noon.

Women's Swimming & Diving
After a dominant, season-opening win against NYU, the Lions hit the road for their first away and first Ivy League meet of the season against Penn. The first event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. in Philadelphia. The Quakers are 1-0 this season, coming off a win over Delaware in their season opener. They will matchup with Villanova on Wednesday evening. Last year, Penn went 8-4 overall and 3-4 in conference, finishing fifth at the Ivy League Championships. The Lions dropped their last contest to the Quakers, 164-136 in NYC. Chloe Leung and Shaelyn Shields both won two events for Columbia in the opener, and they will look to pick up where they left off on Friday.
