NEW YORK - All three Columbia rowing squads will hit the water in a busy weekend of action. The women kick off the weekend at the Big 10/Ivy Duel in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, while the heavyweights and lightweights will race at home at Overpeck Park for the first time in 2025 on Saturday.

For fans interested in attending the home regattas at Overpeck Park, there will be a bus departing Columbia from 116th Street & Amsterdam Avenue) at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Heavyweight Preview
The Lions will open the season against Rutgers, where they will aim to retain the Collins Cup for the 19th consecutive year. Columbia and the Scarlet Knights will race twice with the second varsity eight launching at 9 a.m., and the varsity eight at 9:15 a.m.

Lightweight Preview
After debuting last weekend at the National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational, Columbia will compete twice on Saturday, beginning with the morning session against Mercyhurst and No. 7 Georgetown, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The schools will feature two boats of eight and two boats of four. In the afternoon, the Lions take on the Hoyas and No. 1 Harvard in three events, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Columbia will travel to Columbus, Ohio to race No. 14 Ohio State and No. 15 Indiana. The Lions will compete in 1V8+, 2V8+, 1V4+, and a 2V 4+ during the two-day event. On Friday, Columbia takes on Indiana at 5:40 p.m. and will wrap things up against the Buckeyes at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
