Neal, Mikami Earn NFCA All-Region Honors

Duo becomes just the second pair to earn all-region honors in the same season in Columbia history

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior Cami Neal and junior Sarah Mikami add to their impressive collection of honors, as the duo both earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honors as announced by the association on Thursday afternoon. Neal earned second-team honors, while Mikami garnered third-team recognition.

The NFCA announced 380 Division I recipients from 146 teams, the duo becomes Columbia's sixth and seventh players all-time to earn this honor, the first since Sommer Gryzbek and Maria Pagane were awarded all-region honors in 2019.

"I couldn't be more proud of Cami and Sara," head coach Jennifer Teague said. "Not just for the incredible season they've had, but for their unwavering leadership. To lead both on and off the field while performance at such a high level is a true testament to the kind of people they are."

Neal, a four-time All-Ivy honoree, wrapped her career as Columbia's all-time leader in total bases (336), and is fourth all-time in home runs (19), RBI (92), and slugging percentage (.554). Her .391 average in 2025 is the third-best in a single season in program history. Her .626 slugging percentage is seventh-best in a single season. Meanwhile, she ranks in the top 10 in a single season with 32 RBI and 45 hits.

The native of Gilbert, Ariz., put up career bests in average (.391), runs (24), hits (45), doubles (10), RBI (32) and on base percentage (.454). She finished in the top 10 in the Ivy League in average, hits, RBI, slugging percentage and on base percentage.

Notoriously difficult to strike out, Neal struck out just once every 38.3 at-bats, which ranked 10th best in the nation among all Division I players.

Mikami earned First Team All-Ivy League honors for the second consecutive season and was a unanimous selection this year. The native of Irvine, Calif., followed up a breakout 2024 campaign with an even better year in 2025.

She hit a career-best .390 (46-for-118) with 26 runs scored, nine doubles, three triples, five home runs, 22 RBI, a .644 slugging percentage and a .467 on-base percentage. All career-bests. Her .390 batting average is fourth-best in a single season at Columbia.

In the Ivy League, she finished in the top 10 in average, hits, total bases, slugging percentage, triples, and on-base percentage. Defensively, she was one of the conference leaders in the field. Finishing second in total changes (284) and putouts (267).
