Fencing Earns Four Honors From USFCA

Morrill, Stutchbury, Aufrichtig and Woo Lee pick up end of year honors

NEW YORK — The postseason honors keep rolling in for Columbia Fencing. The Lions were recognized with four major national awards from the United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA), underscoring a season filled with standout performances, program milestones, and continued excellence.

Columbia's coaching staff swept the top awards, with Michael Aufrichtig named National Women's Coach of the Year and Seoung Woo Lee earning Women's Assistant Coach of the Year. Under their leadership, the Lions once again stood out as one of the most consistent and competitive programs in collegiate fencing.

On the strip, two first-year fencers made an immediate national impact. Carolina Stutchbury was named the Women's Foil Newcomer of the Year after an incredible rookie campaign that culminated in First Team All-America honors at the NCAA Championships.

Will Morrill took home USFCA Men's Sabre Newcomer of the Year following a breakout season in which he was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and earned Second Team All-America honors at nationals.
