Volleyball Announces 2025 Schedule

Lions to play 10 home matches, starting with the Big Apple Tournament
NEW YORK – The Columbia volleyball program is pleased to announce its 2025 schedule. The Lions will play 24 matches, including 10 home contests, beginning with the Big Apple Tournament from September 5-6.
Year four of the Patric Santiago era begins with the Big Apple Tournament at Levien Gymnasium. The Lions will host New Haven, Northeastern, and Fordham. Columbia opens the tournament against New Haven on Friday, September 5 at 1 p.m. Later that night, Columbia will take on Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. The tournament concludes with the Lions taking on Fordham on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
The following weekend, the Lions will play in the first of two back-to-back tournaments, traveling to Loudonville, NY, to participate in the Siena Tournament, September 12-13. Columbia opens the tournament taking on Stonehill, before squaring off against Belmont and Siena.
Four days later, the Lions travel to New Rochelle, NY, to play in the Iona/FDU Invitational, co-hosted by Iona and FDU. Columbia opens the tournament taking on Iona on September 17 at 6 p.m. They wrap up the tournament against LIU on September 19 at 6 p.m. and FDU on September 20 at 6 p.m.
Columbia wraps up its non-conference slate battling Rutgers on Tuesday, September 23 at 7 p.m.
The Lions open Ivy League play with five straight home matches. Columbia opens conference play against Cornell on September 27. The Lions will play Dartmouth and Harvard on October 3 and 4 before hosting Yale and Brown on October 10 and 11.
The Lions begin a five-match road trip, starting with a contest at Penn, on October 17. They follow that up with a match at Princeton on October 18. On October 25, Columbia travels to Ithaca to take on Cornell. The Lions wrap up the road trip against Harvard and Dartmouth on October 31 and November 1.
The final two home contests of the year see the Lions hosting Princeton on November 7 and Penn on November 8. The regular season concludes with dates at Brown and Yale on November 14 and 15.
2025 marks the fourth year of the four-time Ivy League Tournament, which the top seed will host. With a berth in the NCAA Championships on the line, the tournament will be held from November 21 to 23.
