Lions to honor six seniors
NEW YORK — The Columbia squash teams return to action on Sunday, Feb. 15, hosting Yale at SL Green StreetSquash at 1 p.m. The match will also serve as Senior Day, as the Lions honor Nourin Khalifa, Amal Izhar, Shaivi Rau, Alex Yuzpe, Franklyn Smith, and Adam Morkel prior to first serve.
Columbia enters the matchup following a home contest against top-ranked Trinity, where both squads dropped 8–1 decisions. Varun Fuloria and Eva Salzman highlighted the weekend for the Lions, earning individual victories at the No. 7 and No. 3 positions, respectively. Fuloria battled back from a game down to secure a four-game win on the men's side, while Salzman delivered Columbia's lone point in the women's lineup with a composed four-game performance.
The Lions now shift their focus to No. 2/7 men and women Yale squad. Sunday's contest marks one of the final home appearances of the season and provides an opportunity for the Lions to build momentum into the postseason while celebrating a senior class that has played a key role in the program's development.
