Men’s Squash Gears up for CSA Team National Championships

Columbia is set to rematch with Tufts in the round of 16
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Columbia men's squash teams will travel to the Specter Center in Philadelphia for the CSA Divisional Team Championships starting Thursday.
Tournament Information
The draws, results, live scores, order of play, and other information for all matches this weekend can be found on the 2026 CSA National Team Championships page. Matches will be streamed through the CSA YouTube channel @CollegeSquash.
The Lions are set to face Tufts in the round of 16 on Thursday, March 5, with matches scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. Should Columbia advance, it will face Harvard on Friday.
Scouting the Jumbo
The Lions earned a statement 8-1 victory against the Jumbo earlier this season, where freshman Ahmad Haq and Sam Du recorded their first wins as Lions.
Senior Franklyn Smith outlasted the competition in a gutsy five-set thriller.

No. 7 men's team earned a 6–3 win over then-No. 4 Yale.
Columbia controlled the top and middle of the ladder to secure the team win, highlighted by four-game victories from sophomore Yusuf Sheikh and junior Shaurya Bawa at the top two positions. Sheikh outlasted in a 13-11, 11-9, 6-11, 11-7 battle against Tad Carney. Bawa rebounded after dropping the first game to defeat Lachlan Sutton, 3-11, 12-10, 11-2, 11-7.
First-year Ahmad Haq defeated Rishi Srivastava at No. 5, 11-5, 11-5, 11-3. Sophomore Imad Athar followed with a straight-game win over Rick Chen at No. 6, 11-3, 11-3, 16-14.
Sophomore Varun Fuloria delivered a pivotal five-game victory at No. 7, outlasting Oliver Velasco, 13-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-13, 11-8, while first-year Sam Du added another point with an 11-3, 11-6, 11-7 sweep of Bennett Eun at No. 8.
