Kyle Fram ‘20SEAS Wins Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race

The Columbia heavyweight alum raced with Cambridge University Boat Club in the third seat
NEW YORK — Columbia heavyweight rowing alumnus Kyle Fram '20SEAS won the 2026 Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race with Cambridge University Boat Club in the third seat on the River Thames in southwest London on Saturday, April 4.
Fram has spent the past few years working in Singapore, during which time he has become particularly adept at single sculling, racing across Asia and Oceania.
Fram rowed for the Lions from 2016-19 and was a staple in the third seat for the Varsity Eight for most of his first year, along with his sophomore and junior years. As a junior, the Lawrenceville, New Jersey, native rowed in the third seat for Varsity Eight in both the EARC Sprints and IRA National Championships. As a sophomore, he competed from the 3rd seat in the Varsity Eight at the EARC Sprints. As a first-year, Fram competed from the No. 3 seat for the Varsity Eight at the Head of the Housatonic and the No. 5 seat at the Collins Cup.
In high school, Fram won a bronze medal in the 4+ at the Junior World Championships in 2016 and finished second in the U19 4+ and U19 8+ at Canadian Henley.

The Boat Race is an annual event between crews from the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge. The Men's Boat Race was first raced in 1829 and is now one of the world's oldest and most famous amateur sporting events. The Women's Boat Race first took place in 1927.
