Seven women’s tennis student-athletes earn ITA Scholar-Athlete honors
NEW YORK – Following the completion of the 2025-26 season, the Columbia women's tennis program has been recognized as an NCAA Division I All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). In addition to the team recognition, seven women's team student-athletes were honored as Division I Scholar-Athletes.
As part of the 2025-26 squad, Amber Yin, Emily Baek, Malak El Allami, Salma Farhat, Margaret Hui, Michelle Li, and Sophia Wang all earned ITA Division I Scholar-Athlete distinction.
To be named to the ITA All-Academic Team, programs must maintain a team grade point average of 3.2 or above, with all current varsity athletes' marks factored into the cumulative result. Scholar-athletes must possess a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the academic year.
In 2026, 1,501 Division I Women's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 231 Women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
