
Cross Country Unveils 2026 Schedule

The Lions open the 2026 campaign with the Columbia Manhattan Dual Meet on September 4
NEW YORK — Columbia Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Daniel Ireland has announced the 2026 cross country schedule, with the Lions opening the season on Friday, Sept. 4, hosting the Columbia Manhattan Dual Meet at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
Columbia returns to Van Cortlandt Park the following weekend, competing in the Iona Meet of Champions on Friday, Sept. 11.
After a two-week break, the Lions travel to Princeton, New Jersey, for the Princeton XC Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26, before heading to Pennsylvania for the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Friday, Oct. 2.
Championship season begins with the METS Cross Country Championships, hosted by NJIT on Saturday, Oct. 10. Columbia will then compete in the IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Bethpage Polo at the Park in Bethpage, New York.
The Lions will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the Ivy League Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31, hosted at Highland Park in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
The NCAA postseason begins with the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Friday, Nov. 13, at Bethpage Polo at the Park before concluding with the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana.
