NEW YORK, N.Y. - Three of Columbia's players had a team high eight kills, but they could not come up with the win, falling to the Quakers 3-0. Columbia's record now falls to 2-17, 0-7 Ivy, while Penn improved to 9-7, 3-3 Ivy.
The Lions tried to play from behind, having the lead only three times throughout the match but could not over take the Quakers, losing the games 30-20, 30-16 and 30-21. Natalie Gerling, Cassie Ligh and Nikki Learned all had a team high 8 kills for the Lions with Learned hitting .348 for the game. Libero Chrissy James led the Light Blue on defense, having 13 digs.
CU faces Princeton at home tomorrow, Oct. 23, in Levien Gym at 4:00 p.m.
