Name the Columbia Mascot!

Over 200 names were submitted for the new Columbia Lion Mascot.

Here are the five finalists:

Hamilton (In honor of that famous Columbian on the $10 bill)

Hudson (For Alma Mater on the HUDSON Shore)

J.J. (More than a dormitory... a Columbia Supreme Court Justice)

K.C. (Think Columbia's original name circa 1754)

Roary (Lion, Roar...)

Congratulations to the Columbia faithful who submitted these five names - you are all now eligible for the grand prize! The grand prize will be awarded to the fan who submitted the winning entry when the new Columbia Lion Mascot is unveiled at Homecoming 2005. (In the case of multiple submissions, one fan who submitted the winning name will be chosen at random.) Employees of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education and their families are ineligible to win the grand prize.

To vote, email das2145@columbia.edu with your choice by Wednesday, October 12. One vote allowed per person. Columbia Athletics reserves the right to disqualify votes if it believes that the voting procedures have been tampered with through various methods, including (but not limited to): spamming, denial of service attack and mass mailing. The decision of Columbia Athletics is final.
