NEW YORK, N.Y. - Without their top three doubles players in the starting line-up, the Lions dropped the doubles point, but when on to sweep singles to defeat St. Joseph's 6-1.

The Lions dropped the doubles point for the first time this season, as Paul Ratchford's regular doubles' partner, Scott Robbin, was out with a minor injury. Ratchford teamed up with Vinay Bhamidipati and lost at No. 1 doubles 8-5. Jared Drucker and Dan Urban fell at No. 2, 9-8 and Mark Clemente and Jon Chan won at # 3 doubles 8-6.

Jimmy Moore and and Marty Moore also missed doubles with minor injuries. The duo normally plays first singles.

The Lions stormed back and swept singles. Dan Urban was done first at #5, winning 6-0, 6-1, and Ratchford and M. Moore weren't far behind winning 6-2, 6-2 and 6-4, 6-3 at #2 and #3 respectively.

Jared Drucker clinched the match at #4, winning 6-3, 6-3 and Jon Chan completed the singles sweep at #6, winning 6-1, 6-3.
