ITHACA, N.Y. -- Ben Collins (400-yard individual medley) and Tobin White (200 free) set pool records, but the Lions fell to Eastern Intercollegiate Swim League (EISL) opponent Cornell, 160-140, in a meet that came down to the final relay. The loss ended a four-meet win streak for Columbia.

Collins swam 3:59.55 in the 400 i.m. to place first, and also took first in the 200 fly in 1:54.07. White was victorious in the 200 free in 1:40.50 and also the 100 free in 46.08.

The Lions' other double-winner was first-year Justin Reardon, who won both dives. His score on the one-meter board was 282.22 and the 3m was 315.45. His score on the latter event qualified him for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships on Feb. 12-13 in Buffalo, N.Y.

Columbia returns to Uris Pool tomorrow for a 2 p.m. meet vs. Rutgers Sat., Jan 29.
