Columbia women's soccer had three players honored by the Ivy League, headlined by sophomore Shannon Munoz's selection to the All-Ivy second team. Sophomore defender/midfielder Meghan Hurlbut and first-year defender Cathleen Cimino received honorable mention for their outstanding seasons as well. With three young players honored, no school had more underclassmen recognized as league standouts than Columbia.

Munoz (C-Coto de Caza, Calif.) emerged as a star this season for the Lions and becoming one of the best offensive players in the Ivy League. She was all over the conference's individual leader-boards finishing tied for first in shots (71) and shots per game (4.18), tied for second in assists (7), third in points (23) and game winning goals (3) and fifth in goals (5). Her 23 points is the fifth best total in Columbia women's soccer history. She also earned the Offensive MVP award at the Governor's Cup in Albany and Ivy League Player of the Week for the week of 9/20. The sophomore forward earned honorable mention last season.

Hurlbut (C-McLean, Va.) earned honorable mention largely on her impressive form over the second half of the season. After playing much of last season in a defensive position moved into the midfield this year to become an offensive weapon for Columbia. Her sweet left-footed crosses and curling free kicks became staples of the Lions attack. She scored three goals this season including an outstanding free kick from 35 yards into the far upper corner against Dartmouth. She and Munoz were two of just eight sophomores to be honored by the Ancient Eight this season.

Cimino (C-Satelitte, Fla.) started every match for the Lions in a crucial position in central defense. She earned Defensive MVP honors at the Governor's Cup and Ivy League Rookie of the Week in September. She was a critical factor in the Lions' record setting five game shutout streak during the season. Fast, smart and poised, Cimino was recognized by her opponents as one of the league's top first-years.
