2017-18 (First-Year): (XC) Went 26:07 over the 8K course at the Princeton Invitational for a season best. (Indoor) Ran season bests of 4:21.79 in the 1 Mile and 8:35.09 in the 3,000m run. (Outdoor) Ran season bests of 9:15.16 in the 3,000m steeplechase and 4:20.82 in the 1 Mile.

Personal: Took part in the distance events while competing for Sachem North High School in Long Island ... A four-time all-state honoree, also earning all-county, all-division, and all-league honors as a prep ... Picked up the 2017 Suffolk County Track Runner of the Year honors ... A seven-time division champion and four-time county champion ... Won the 3,000m steeplechase at the 2017 New York State Championships ... Posted personal bests of 4:20 in the 1,600m, 9:17 in the 3,200m, and 9:14 in the 3,000m Steeplechase ... The son of Alice and Michael Lauer ... Intends to study Physics at Columbia College.
