Biography

One of the Lions’ most versatile swimmers of all time, he holds top-ten times in six events: the 200 IM (1:52.66; ninth), 400 IM (3:55.63; third), 200 Fly (1:50.07; third), 1650 Free (15:39.13; seventh), 1000 Free (9:26.17; ninth) and 200 Back (1:50.67; eighth). Winner of the Outstanding First-Year award in 2006, Cedric has been a consistent point-scorer at both the dual and championship meet levels. Coming off of a tremendous 2007-2008 year in which he set three personal best times in taking fifth (3:55.63), ninth (1:50.07) and tenth (1:50.45) respectively in the 400 IM, 200 Butterfly and 200 Backstroke at the EISL Championships, the Lions expect nothing less from his final season.

At Upland High: Four-year swimming letterwinner ... captain as a senior ... versatile swimmer ? competed in backstroke, butterfly, freestyle, individual medley and relays ... won back-to-back CIF championships in the 200 individual medley as a junior and senior ... two-time Baseline League MVP ... AP Scholar with distinction ... Heff Award in history and Spanish.

Outside Experience: Western Zone champ in six events as a junior, setting three Zone records ... helped Southern California Zone Team to three first places at Western Zone Championships ... swam for The Claremont Club.

Personal: Majoring in film and history ... intends to go on to graduate school in film ... enjoys video editing ... plays the violin ... both parents attended the University of Oregon ... sister, Jasmina, swam at Amherst.
