Coach Weintraub on Marlena: Marlena brings maturity and experience to our squad. She has a wicked topspin on her ground strokes that is very effective in breaking opponents down. She also has great hands at the net.

Fall 2008: Won Flight "B" singles title at Columbia Classic ... defeated opponents from Harvard and St. John's, as well as a pair of wins over Columbia teammates ... reached finals of Eastern Championships doubles bracket with teammate Linnae Goswami ... earned wins over duos from Pitt, Army and Seton Hall.

Fall 2005: Made the quarterfinals of the ITA East Regionals in doubles with teammate Nina Suda ... advanced to the Flight “A” consolation round with teammate Sydney Murray in the Cornell Winter Invitational.

Spring 2005: Finished 1-5... 0-2 in the Ivy League in singles action ... in doubles play, she finished with a 5-9 record... 1-1 in the Ivy League.

Fall 2004: Opened her collegiate career with 4-3 record as a singles player during the fall ... 5-3 in doubles action.

At J.P. Taravella: Four-time district and regional champion ... reached state semifinals every year in singles ... won state doubles championship as a senior ... four-time first team All-County in singles and doubles ... four-time team captain ... Broward County Scholar Athlete in 2003.
