Christopher Casey was hired as Assistant Director of Athletic Equipment Operations in August 2023.
At Columbia, Casey collaborates closely with the Director of Athletic Equipment Operations to facilitate efficient and accurate equipment orders, distribution, and laundering for the university’s 31 intercollegiate teams, ensuring they have the necessary gear to excel.
Casey joins Columbia after serving as a Seasonal Equipment Intern with the New York Jets from 2022-23. With the Jets, he ??collaborated with a team of four full-time equipment managers and two other interns to oversee equipment management for a professional football franchise with 70 players and 50 staff members.
Before his tenure with the Jets, Casey was the Head Football Student Equipment Manager at Villanova University from 2019-22.Â
Casey received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Villanova in 2022.
