Women's Swimming & Diving in Eighth After Day Three of Ivies

Ashley Hong notches the Lions' highest finish in the 100 Breast
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Columbia women's swimming and diving team sits in eighth place after day three of the 2026 Ivy League Championships being held at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center on the campus of Brown University.
Through 13 events, the Lions have compiled 337 points. Princeton leads the competition with a score of 948. Penn is in second place with 770 points. Harvard resides in third, scoring 744.5 points.
DAY ONE
The Ivy League Championships began with the 200-medley and the 800-free relay.
Columbia's A relays both placed eighth, with the 200-medley squad of Shaelyn Shields, Ashley Hong, Ella Chan, and Sally Ma finishing a second away from seventh at 1:41.16.

DAY TWO
Ashley Hong had the Lions' top finish of the day, taking 11th in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.10.
Sally Ma touched the wall in 13th in the 50 free with a time of 22.84.
Lindsay Orringer finished 14th in the 500 free, clocking in at 4:52.34.

DAY TWO
Hong had another big day, once again providing Columbia's top finish. She took eighth in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.37. Natalia Diaz came in second in the B finals, 10th overall, with a time of 1:02.79. Audrey Wolk finished behind her in 12th at 1:03.12.
Shaelyn Shields took 14th in the 400 IM with a time of 4:19.95.
The Lions closed the day with a seventh place finish in the 400 medley relay, as the team of Jilly MacNamara, Hong, Chan and Ma finished at 3:42.47.

ON DECK
The final day begins tomorrow with the 200 back. Prelims start at 11 a.m. and finals take place at 6 p.m. every day.
Following the completion of the Ivy League Championships, the qualified divers will begin preparations for the NCAA Zone Diving competition on March 9.
