Jourdan Roemer

Jourdan Roemer was named an Assistant Coach for Columbia Lacrosse in July 2025.

"I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and next chapter in my coaching career with Columbia Lacrosse," Roemer said. "I'm looking forward to hitting the ground running alongside such a passionate and talented staff, as well as a group of driven young women. I'm excited to grow, compete, and contribute to this University. Let's go Lions!"

Roemer arrives in Morningside Heights following four seasons on staff at Canisius, where she most recently served as the associate head coach. A 2019 graduate of the same school, Roemer remains the Golden Griffin's all-time scoring leader with 259 career points (157g, 102a) and was a cornerstone of the program's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship teams in 2016 and 2017.

During her standout collegiate career, Roemer was a three-time All-MAAC selection and the 2018 MAAC Offensive Player of the Year. She earned first-team honors in 2017 and 2018 before closing her playing career with a second-team nod in 2019.

"I am truly thrilled to be welcoming Jourdan to the Lions Lacrosse Family!" Murray said. "Her IQ, preparation, and belief in her athletes has set her apart on the sidelines. She will be working closely with our offensive and draw units and is ready to move the needle for this program. I am excited for all of us to be inspired by her passion, commitment and spark that will be contagious for all of us."

Prior to her return to Canisius as a coach in 2022, Roemer served as an assistant at D'Youville for the 2021 season. She also held a graduate assistant position in strength and conditioning at Ithaca College in 2019-20 and assisted with the Bombers' women's lacrosse program during that time.

A native of Irondequoit, N.Y., Roemer graduated from Canisius in 2019 with a degree in health and wellness and earned her master's degree in exercise science from Ithaca College in 2020.
