PROVIDENCE, R.I. - With sophomore Natalie Gerling leading the offense with 11 kills, Columbia fell to Brown 3-0. The Lions are now 5-14 overall, 3-5 in the Ivy League.
Columbia kept the first game close, losing 27-30. Brown picked up momentum in the second game winning 30-20. The third game was right down to the wire with the Bears eventually coming out on top 35-33.
Along with her 11 kills, Gerling had a double-double with 17 digs. First-year Ashley Kim also had 17 digs and sophomore setter Shannon Hunzicker had 22 assists and 11 digs.
The Lions take on Yale tomorrow, Saturday, October 29th in New Haven, Conn. at 4 p.m.
