
Spring Academic All-Ivy League Team Includes Ten Columbians

NEW YORK - Ten Columbia student-athletes have earned a spot on the Spring 2006 Academic All-Ivy League team, the Ivy League office announced.
Several All-Ivy League selections, All-Region honorees and an All-American are among the student-athletes who represent Columbia on the 80-person team, which requires at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average and a role as a starter or key reserve on a varsity team.
Carrie Anderer (Sr.-CC, Needham, Mass./political science), Lacrosse
Became Columbia's all-time top goal scorer in 2006
Maiya Chard-Yaron (Sr.-CC, San Diego, Calif./sociology), Softball
First-team All-Ivy League; led team with .343 batting average
Xiao Hui Chin (Sr.-CC, Perringeville, N.J./urban studies/psychology), Archery
Named All-American this spring
Laura Meyers (Jr.-CC, Pasadena, Calif./Spanish/economics), Track & Field
ECAC Champion in the steeplechase
Libby Peters (Sr.-CC, Utica, N.Y./history), Rowing
First-team all-region; Co-captain
Liam Boylan-Pett (So., Bath, Mich./sociology/writing), Track & Field
Second-team All-Ivy League; NCAA Regional qualifier
Jared Drucker (So., Northridge, Calif./political science), Tennis
Starter at No. 5 and No. 6 singles
David Myers (Sr., Marlborough, Mass./philosophy), Lightweight Rowing
