NEW YORK – Senior free safety Tad Crawford has been named honorable mention All-America by Don Hansen's Football Gazette.
Crawford was a first-team All-Ivy League selection in the fall and second-team in 2005. He finished third in the league in tackles with 101. The free safety from Burlington, Ont., was the first Lion to record more than 100 tackles in consecutive seasons since Rory Wilfork '97 in 1994 through 1996, and the first Ivy League player to accomplish that since Justin Stull of Princeton in 2003 and 2004.
Crawford also had an interception, two fumble recoveries and three tackles for a loss in his senior campaign.
The Burlington, Ontario native will participate in the Canadian Football League's Combine at the University of Toronto on Saturday, March 10 and Sunday, March 11.
