Ramie Merrill is a senior on the Columbia field hockey squad. As a senior she earned first team All-Ivy League and first team All-Region honors. Merrill is a forward and is originally from Cornville, Maine.
Best memory of playing field hockey at Columbia University:
Beating Yale in overtime my sophomore year, they didn't know what hit them.
Your thoughts on the new Columbia Field Hockey Venue at Baker Field:
It was great to be back up at Baker, and the field is amazing.
Why do you enjoy playing field hockey for Coach Beach?
She really wants to win and conveys that spirit to us.
What is the most difficult aspect to playing field hockey?
The fact that not many people know the sport and therefore we don't get many fans to cheer us on.
