What meal could you have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and never get tired of it?
My Grandpa makes a pretty mean pot roast, so if anything that would be it. I always look forward to having that meal with all of the
fixings with my grandparents when I come from from New York, nothing can replace a home cooked meal.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy lifting weights, boating, reading novels (my favorite author right now is Vince Flynn) and spending time with those who are close to me.
Something you have always wanted to do, but haven't...
I have always wanted to sky dive, which is a paradox because, like it or not, I am afraid of heights.
If you could stay one age for your entire life, how old would you choose to be?
At the risk of being vague, I would choose to be in my "college years" for the rest of my life. I am extremely lucky to be at Columbia, playing football and learning from world-renowned professors. I would not trade this experience for anything.
What is the best thing you have ever gotten for free?
There is no one single thing that I have gotten for free that sticks out in my mind, but I really enjoy eating so whenever I chance to
get food for free I am a happy young man.
One place you are dying to visit?
The Amazon. My buddies on the team are really into this show called "Man vs. Wild" and I always thought it would be an amazing
experience to replicate what actually happens on the show and go out exploring in the wilderness-even if some parts of the show are
staged.
Most memorable win and what made it special?
Brown, just for the simple fact that, in my first year, they won the Ivy League Championship on our field. I still have the image of the
players from Brown dancing on our field and singing their fight song, and it provides a deep sense of motivation when things aren't
always going right. Call it sweet revenge, but it was nice to celebrate on their field.
Recount the story of how you were inspired to take up your sport.
Growing up, I naturally always wanted to be like my older brother. I did everything that he did, and so when he started to play football
I did as well. The sport created a bond between us that is inexplicable.
One food you had never eaten before you came to Columbia/New York City:
Penne pasta with a "hot" sauce. I can still remember that fateful day in Little Italy when I attempted to finish a plate of this
stuff, I was sweating so bad that I had to stop eating and attempt to cool down the inferno in my mouth.
Favorite concert or who you would most want to see in concert...
My favorite concert would be The Dave Matthews Band. Seeing him live is beyond words.
