If your life were a song, which would it be? "We fall down (but we get up)" by Donnie McClurkin... It's a gospel song but it certainly has relevance outside of its religious connotations. Yeah, it's cliche that life is about responding to adverse times, but how many people really stand up in the face of adversity and persevere... This song is inspiration.
What is your favorite DVD? I don't really watch too many movies...I tend to fall asleep if movies are on, but I watch the highlight tape of this past season (2006) very often. It's very cinematic.
What is your favorite spur-of-the-moment restaurant? Sophie's
What is the best part about playing football at Columbia? You learn a lot about yourself and how much you really REALLY love something. I was once told that there's no way football takes up so much time in my life. I laughed and thought to myself, "This guy wouldn't be able to survive the first half any Columbia student-athlete's life."
Is it true that student-athlete eat, drink and sleep their sport? Yes! it's true that student-athletes eat, drink, and sleep their sport. I've certainly dreamt about games beforehand. I practice a lot mentally: visualizing plays while I'm in class, on the bus to practice, etc. Right now, at work, when people irritate me, I visualize making a textbook tackle on them and it makes me happy... Seriously!
What sports championship do you want to compete in and in what sport? I want to win an Ivy League Football Championship! Period.
What activity from your childhood do you wish you kept up with/miss the most? I was in gymnastics in second grade and I played the trumpet for about six months in fourth grade. Either of those would do. I really wish I kept playing the trumpet.
What is the title of your autobiography? "Optimistic, Opportunistic, Resilient, and Persistent"
What quote do you live by? "Get off your a*s and just do it"...I just made it up with a little help from Nike...but it's how stuff gets done. Seriously...laziness and complaining are whack!
What is the craziest activity you have ever done? It would have to be the gymnastics...let me tell you, JoJo in second grade trying to do gymnastics was probably quite interesting...I'm sure my mom got a kick out of watching me.
