Sophie Reiser is a junior on the women's soccer team. The co-captain was recently named the Ivy League Player of the Year and was a unanimous pick for the All-Ivy League first team.
Future plans: To go to South Africa for the 2010 World Cup
Best thing about Columbia: Casino Night at John Jay
Best thing about soccer: You can play it anywhere in the world, barefoot with a tin can and a sock
Favorite thing to do in NYC: Ride the subway and get off at a random stop I've never been to
Most people would be surprised to know: I speak Spanish fluently in my sleep
Advice to a future Columbia teammate: Always accept your mom's offer to make you food after a game. Even if you aren't hungry or if you lose, you'll deeply miss it once she's not there offering anymore.
Favorite Disney movie: Aladdin
TV show I have to watch: Grey's Anatomy because it's shot in Seattle- gives me a taste of home!
Song you'd sing at karaoke: Michael Buble's “Everything”
If you could live anywhere in the world: Sao Paolo
Song you never get sick of: Postal Service "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight"
Favorite Season: Summer- I belong in the heat.
Best advice you've ever received: Don't salt your food before you taste it.
If you could attend any sporting event: A world cup final between England and Brazil. Those are my two favorite teams to watch play and are the most sought after tickets for the most loved sport in the world. I would die happy.
