Colleen McNutt is a sophomore outside hitter on the Columbia University volleyball team.
Future Plans: I plan on majoring in economics, either becoming an accountant or and investment banker, getting married, and having kids (I would really like twins)
What you like best about your sport: I love my teammates. We get a long so well on and off the court. I consider myself very lucky to call my teammates some of my closest friends.
What is your favorite thing to do in New York City: I love trying unique restaurants. For example, there is a place that only serves macaroni and cheese. I also LOVE shopping!!!! There is no other place in the country that has as good as shopping as the city.
People would be surprised to know that I: I was once reining Ms. Laguna Niguel (not by choice) and was forced to be in the California State beauty pageant.
What advice would you give to future Columbia teammates: Enjoy every moment you spend playing for the university because seasons and years fly by.
Song you never get sick of: Baby Got Back by Sir Mix Alot
Favorite Disney Movie: High School Musical hands down (even went to the concert)
Your most over-used word/phrase is: “hey duuuuuuuude”
Best advice you've ever received: Success comes with a lot of preparation and a little bit of luck
