Gates to the Baker Athletics Complex open at 9:30 a.m. on game day.
Pre-game Picnic Area
Columbia Athletics and University Event Management will once again sponsor a Pre-game Picnic Area at the Baker Athletics Complex before every home football game in 2009. The Pre-game Picnic Area features communal barbecue grills, picnic tables and a beverage concession stand serving soft drinks and beer. The concession stand will open ninety (90) minutes prior to kickoff and close thirty (30) minutes after kickoff. All beverages will be free of charge.
Beer Concession: Beer distribution and consumption in the Picnic Area will be monitored in accordance with University guidelines for Baker Athletics Complex. Wristbands will be issued to fans 21 years of age and older who wish to consume beer after showing valid photo identification with date of birth (Columbia students must also show valid student Columbia ID). Wristbands will enable patrons to order one beer at a time, up to a limit of four during the operating hours of the Picnic Area. All fans will be expected to act in a responsible manner in the Picnic Area as elsewhere at the Baker Athletics Complex.
Barbecuing: Complimentary barbecue grills will be provided for use in the Picnic Area. Fans are encouraged to bring food to Baker Athletics Complex and eat at the picnic tables provided. Barbecue grills may not be used on the artificial turf field in the Picnic Area.
Tickets and Access: Admission to the Picnic Area will be free for Columbia University and Barnard College students with valid Columbia Card and Barnard College ID. Game tickets are required for admission to the Picnic Area for all other patrons.
