
Women's Golf Takes Third At Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Columbia women's golf team wrapped up the final round of the Princeton Invitational today, earning a third place finish.
The Lions ended with an overall score of 908, which was 12 strokes behind first place Yale at 896. Rollins College was the runner up, firing a 907 in the 54-hole event.
Columbia's Nancy Xu shot the lowest round for the Lions, finishing with a 236 over 54 holes. The first-year shot a 78 today, which was good enough to finish in a tie for seventh place overall, after rounds of 75 and 73 on the first day.
One stroke behind Xu in a tie for ninth place was Camilla Vik, at 237. Vik finished today with a 79, after matching Xu with a 75 and 73 on day one.
Rounding out the top four for the Lions were Rachel Shi and Monique Ishikawa. Shi finished in a tie for 13th with a 229, while Ishikawa was one stroke behind her in a tie for 15th with a 230.
With the completion of the Princeton Invitational, the women's golf fall season is now complete. The first event in the spring for the Lions will be the Drake Invitational, March 17-19, in Pacific Grove, California.
