
Lions Round Out Fall Season At Cardinal Cup

NEW YORK – The Columbia women's golf team will round out the fall season this week as it heads to Louisville, Kentucky, for the 2015 Cardinal Cup at the University of Louisville Golf Club.
The Lions are coming off an 11th-place finish at the Yale Women's Intercollegiate just less than two weeks ago, improving in each round including an 11-stroke improvement heading into the final round of play.
Columbia has been led by the play of junior Jackie Chulya who holds a 75.13 stroke average this fall, finishing in the top 30 in all three events.
ABOUT THE EVENT
The 2015 Cardinal Cup will take place at the University of Louisville Golf Club, a par-72, 6,132-yard course. Teams will be teeing off on Monday starting at 9:30 a.m. and will play 36 holes before rounding out the event with the final 18 on Tuesday starting at 9:15 a.m.
The field will consist of 14 teams, including five from the GolfWeek Top 50: Ball State, Bradley, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Columbia, No. 23 East Carolina, No. 47 Florida State, Indiana, No. 42 Illinois, No. 20 Louisville, No. 32 Notre Dame, Richmond, and Virginia Tech.
