
Endelman Named 2015 ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year

SKILLMAN, N.J. – Columbia Athletics Hall of Famer and Associate Head Men's Tennis Coach Howard Endelman was named the 2015 ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year.
Endelman has helped guide Columbia to several program firsts during his five-year tenure with the team. Columbia reached the NCAA Round of 16 for the second consecutive season, winning two matches in the NCAA Team Championships each year. Prior to last season, the Lions had never won a match in the NCAA Team Championships.
During the 2013-14 season, Columbia's top doubles pairing of Max Schnur and Ashok Narayana claimed the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Doubles Championship for the first national title in Columbia tennis history.
Endelman was named the ITA Northeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2013 and the team has compiled a 38-8 record, back-to-back Ivy League titles and 21 consecutive dual match victories over Ivy League opponents over the past two seasons.
The 2014-15 Columbia men's tennis team earned a program record eight All-Ivy League honors and earned a bid to the ITA National Team Indoors for the first time in 20 years.
