NEW YORK — Winners of six straight, Columbia (8-5, 3-0 Ivy) completes a 30-day, 12-match homestand with a pair of Ivy League matches against Princeton (9-3, 3-0 Ivy) and Penn (7-8, 2-1 Ivy). The Lions and Tigers square off in a battle of the league's only two remaining unbeatens on Friday at 7 p.m., with Penn to follow on Saturday at 5 p.m. Both matches can be watched on the Ivy League Digital Network.
TOP NOTES
• Columbia has won six straight matches and is 3-0 in the Ivy League for the first time in program history. It is the team's longest winning streak since posting a program-record nine straight victories in September of 2010.
• Friday's matchup with Princeton features the Ivy League's only two undefeated teams. Princeton is the defending Ivy League champion.
• Senior libero Cassie Wes ranks No. 2 nationally in digs per set (5.56) and leads the Ivy League by more than 1.1 digs per set.
• First-year setter Grace Campbell leads the Ivy League and ranks 80th nationally in assists per set (10.13).
• Columbia and Princeton have combined to sweep Ivy League Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors each of the past three weeks.
• Columbia will close out a 30-day, 12-match homestand, which marks its longest in program history.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
• Princeton heads into the weekend riding a seven-match winning streak ... The Tigers have not lost since September 9, when they nearly came back from 2-1 down to defeat Maryland, ultimately falling 15-13 in the fifth ... Since then, Princeton has defeated Georgetown, Seattle, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Penn, Harvard and Dartmouth in succession ... Devon Peterkin has been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week twice, including this past Monday after hitting over .400 with two double-doubles in victories over Harvard and Dartmouth ... The offense is led by senior Cara Mattaliano with 150 total kills and a per-set average of 3.49 ... Senior Brittany Ptak is second at 3.24 kills per set, and was named Ivy League Player of the Week on September 26 ... Freshman Maggie O'Connell was named Rookie of the Week on September 19.
INSIDE THE PRINCETON SERIES
• Princeton leads the all-time series 42-6 and has won the last six series meetings ... Columbia's last victory came in November of 2012 at Levien Gymnasium in four sets ... The Lions are 3-3 against Princeton in the last six series matchups in New York ... Last season, the Tigers visited Levien Gym for the regular season finale and dropped Columbia in four.
SCOUTING THE QUAKERS
• After beginning the season 0-4, Penn has won 7 of its last 11 and sits one game behind both Columbia and Princeton in the Ivy League standings ... Penn defeated Dartmouth in five and Harvard in four last weekend, with its only Ivy League loss coming at the hands of Princeton, 3-2, back on September 24 ... Sophomore Courtney Quinn and freshman Carolina Furrer head the offense with 149 and 136 kills, respectively ... Furrer carries a team-best, kills-per-set average of 2.78, and was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week on September 12 after accumulating 63.0 total points in four matches.
INSIDE THE PENN SERIES
• Penn leads the all-time series 41-6, but Columbia is 4-3 against the Quakers since 2012 ... Penn won the first 25 contests between the two schools beginning in 1988 before the Lions picked up their first victory in 2005 ... Columbia won three straight series matchups in New York from 2011-13, but Penn has been victorious in the Big Apple each of the last two years.
THE WINS KEEP COMING
• Columbia has won six straight overall and is 3-0 in the Ivy League for the first time in program history ... The winning streak is Columbia's longest since stringing together a program-best nine straight victories in September of 2010 ... The current six-match streak began on September 16 with a 3-0 sweep of Providence, and followed with two more sweeps over Hartford and Fordham ... The Lions won their Ivy League opener on September 24 by coming back from two sets down and saving three match points to defeat Cornell ... Columbia added to the streak last weekend by defeating Yale in five and Brown in three.

WES DIGGING UP EVERYTHING
• Senior libero Cassie Wes totaled 55 digs and averaged 6.88 digs per set on her way to being named Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday ... Wes posted 29 in last Friday's five-set win over Yale and added 26 in only three sets (8.67/set) on Saturday against Brown ... She upped her digs-per-set average to 5.56 this season, which ranks No. 2 in the NCAA and No. 1 in the Ivy League by more than 1.1 digs per set ... Wes climbed to third in program history in career digs and enters this weekend with 1,097 ... The career record is 1,408, accomplished by Ellie Thomas (2006-09) ... Katie Beauregard is second all-time with 1,248 from 1999-2002 ... Wes became the fourth Lion in program history to record 1,000 career digs on September 17 against Fordham.
