
Lions In Second After Opening Round Of Spring Training Intercollegiate

PINEHURST, N.C. – The Columbia women's golf team is in second place after the opening day of play at the Spring Training Intercollegiate on Friday, posting a 318 (+30) to sit eight strokes behind the leader, Harvard.
Leading the way was Amy Ding who ended the day tied for third after finishing six over, putting her three strokes behind leader Christine Lin of Harvard.
The trio of Camilla Vik, Nancy Xu and Jackie Chulya each finished the day eight over par to tie for seventh overall while Monique Ishikawa rounded out the five-person squad in a tie for 12th after ending the day at 11-over.
Competing as individuals, Rachel Shi finished in 11th after carding a nine-over opening round while Lilette Mocio took 23rd at 19-over.
The Lions will round out the Spring Training Intercollegiate starting at 8 a.m. on the 10th hole with tee times every nine minutes. Shi will begin her final round at 8:45 a.m. while Mocio will round out the day with a tee time starting at 8:54 a.m.
