
Darius Ducr? Added as Assistant Sports Performance/Speed & Conditioning Coach

Darius Ducré was hired as an Assistant Director of Sport Performance in August of 2016. In this role, Ducré helps to oversee the strength & conditioning aspects for the Columbia athletics department.
Ducré comes to the Lions after spending the last two years at Prairie View A&M University. As the Director of Strength & Conditioning with the Panthers, Ducré designed sport specific workouts for football, basketball, tennis, golf, track, soccer, softball and baseball. Ducré also supervised an internship program for aspiring Strength & Conditioning Coaches at Prairie View A&M, while designing a new training facility and picking out the equipment for the facility.
Prior to his stint with the Panthers, Ducré served two different athletic clubs as a personal trainer/strength and conditioning coach. Aside from personal training, he spent the summer of 2013 interning at Samford University, served the Florida Marlins Gulf Coast League team as a graduate Strength & Conditioning coach, completed a graduate assistant stint at Southeastern Louisiana University, among his work with several other high schools and fitness centers.
Ducré holds a Master's of Science in Exercise Science & Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania that he obtained in 2010, and is a 2005 graduate of Dillard University with a BS in Health Science/Pre-Physical Therapy. He is a member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association, the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association, and holds certifications as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Certified Speed and Explosion and a Performance Enhancement Specialist.
