Piscataway, N.J. - With a combined score of 1229.5 points, the Columbia women's swimming & diving team placed third in a 14-team field at the Rutgers Frank Elm Invitational on Sunday, Nov. 19. The Lions were impressive all weekend long at the Werblin Recreation Center, highlighted by a record pefromance in the 200 Free Relay. The foursome of Susie Zhu, Mary Ashby, Kathleen O'Rourke and Jessica He combined for a winning time of 1:31.95 to set a new Rutger's pool record.
Julia Samson was the Lions top points scorer with championship runner-up finishes in the 100 backstroke (54.88) and the 200 backstroke (1:58.46). See below for more highlight Columbia performances.
