
Jae Park Wins 200 Breast To Cap Big Al Invitational

Princeton, N.J. - The Columbia men's swimming & diving team capped the final day of the Big Al Invitational on Sunday, Dec. 3 at Princeton's DeNunzio Pool with another indvidual victory. Jae Park led a strong Columbia charge in the 200 breaststroke with a first-place time of 1:59.22. Park finished just ahead of teammate Jack Smith who posted a runner-up time of 1:59.75, followed by Joseph Lozano in fifth place at 2:01.89.
Columbia posted several impressive perfromance throughout the meet listed below and placed third overall with a tally of 488 points. Princeton took first in the eight-team field with 1291.5 points, followed by Brown with 610 points.

Day two for the Columbia men's swimming & diving team saw a number of sensational performances the Big Al Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Princeton's DeNunzio Pool. Shane Brett captured the crown in the 400 I.M. with a first-place time of 3:50.77 to highlight the Lions day.
Jonathan Suckow continues his unbeaten streak in the one-meter dive with another victory behind a finals winning score of 385.35.
Columbia posted several impresive swims listed below and move to third place with a tally of 325 points. Princeton leads the eight-team field with 802.5 points, followed by Brown with 361 points.

Another program record setting performance by Jonathan Suckow in the three-meter dive highlighted the opening day of the Big Al Invitational for the Columbia men's swimming & diving team on Friday, Dec. 1 at Princeton's DeNunzio Pool. For the third time this year Suckow breaks his own school record in the three-meter dive with victorious tally of 430.35, besting the previous mark of 425.35 set just three weeks ago against Yale. The first-year remains unbeaten in collegiate competition.
The squad of Albert Gwo, Nian-guo Liu, Mark Gullick and Kevin Frifeldt combined for a time of 1:21.56 in the 200 free relay to give the Lions one of several top-five finishes.
The Lions posted several impresive performances listed below and sit in fifth place with a tally of 109 points. Princeton leads the eight-team field with 335, followed by Brown (161) William & Mary (151) and Johns Hopkins (138).
