Heavyweights Come Up Short Against Syracuse, BU

LIVERPOOL, N.Y. - The Columbia heavyweight rowing team dropped three races to Syracuse and Boston University. The Lions' varsity eight finished behind the Terriers by four seconds as BU took the Doc Lusins Trophy.
The Orange took first place in the main evetn, turning in a time of 5:57.1, two seconds in front of the Terriers as they claimed the Conlan Cup.
Columbia's second varsity eight earned a runner-up finish with BU taking first in 5:56, while the third varsity eight placed third.
The Lions wrap up the regular season next Saturday, April 30, when they take on Navy for the Stevenson Cup.
