NEW YORK – After a thrilling overtime victory against Dartmouth on Friday, the Columbia men's soccer is back in action Tuesday, with Rutgers visiting Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium on ESPN+.

The Lions sit at 6-4-1 and 3-1 in the Ivy League, while the Scarlet Knights are now 4-10-1 and 2-5 in Big Ten play after dropping a 1-0 match to No. 2 Indiana.

Neither team was able to push anything across, until
Sebastian Gunbeyi came up clutch during a 1-0 overtime victory over Dartmouth. The first-year scored his first collegiate goal in the first overtime period last Saturday, giving the Lions their first win over the Big Green since 2013.

Dylan Castanheira stopped three shots in the win, posting his 24th career shutout and breaking the all-time Columbia record in the process. Castanheira is now two clean sheets away from breaking the Ivy League record of 26, set by Princeton's Jason White (1999-02).

Although Rutgers stands at just 4-10-1 this season, they have turned it around from recent years, going 4-13-1 in 2017, and 1-14-2 in 2016. Tuesday's road team features one of the top goal-scorers in the country, with Jordan Hall netting 12 scores in 15 games.

Columbia has a favorable record in the all-time history with Rutgers, going 13-10-3 in a series that began in 1957. The Lions have won seven of the past eight matches against the Scarlet Knights, including a 2-0 victory on the road last year.

With Princeton posting a 3-0 win over Harvard last Saturday, the Tigers remain in the drivers seat for an Ivy League title with 10 points and a 3-0-1 conference record. The three matches that remain for Princeton are at Cornell, Penn at home, and the season finale at Yale.
