NEW YORK – The Columbia men's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA All-American this past weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
 
Making the deepest run in the over week-long event was Rian Pandole, who advanced all the way out of the Pre-Qualifying rounds. The sophomore opened with straight-set wins over Cal's Ben Draper and Max Stewart from Oklahoma, before a 6-2, 6-1 triumph over Iowa's Joe Tyler in the round of 64. Pandole advanced to the Qualifying round after defeating Wichita State's Eddie Stoica, 6-4, 6-2, then was halted after a 6-4, 6-4 defeat from Yancy Davis of South Carolina.
 
Also winning a pair of matches during the Pre-Qualifying round was Jason Lui, who topped Fanis Kontopoulos from Tennessee Tech, before knocking off Grayson Broadus from Notre Dame, both in straight sets.
 
With a No. 40 ranking in the preseason, junior Jackie Tang skipped both the Pre-Qualifying and Qualifying rounds, heading straight to the Main Draw. Tang impressed with a 6-4, 6-1 victory against UT-Arlington's Guarnateme Nuez Delgado during the first round, before falling to No. 22 Jan Zielinski (Georgia), 6-4, 6-4, in the round of 32.
 
Next up, the Lions head to Princeton for the ITA Northeast Regional. Slated to play in the Main Draw Singles are Tang, Jack Lin, Adam Ambrozy, Austen Huang, William Matheson, and Timothy Wang, while the Qualifying Draw features Pandole and Lui. Columbia will also have a trio of doubles teams playing starting on Thursday.
