Columbia women's swimming and diving continues Ivy League action Friday at Harvard
NEW YORK — The Columbia women's swimming and diving team returns to action Friday, Nov. 16, traveling to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to face Harvard at 11 a.m. ET. The meet will be available to stream live on ESPN+.
The Lions enter Friday's contest with a 2-1 overall record, including a 1-1 mark in Ivy League competition. Columbia is looking to bounce back from its loss at Yale a week ago.
Highlighting the performance at Yale last week was first-year diver Briget Rosendahl, who won the 3-meter springboard with a score of 280.20 and posted NCAA Zone qualifying scores on both boards. Rosendahl has tallied at least one win in each of Columbia's three meets this season.
SCOUTING HARVARD
Harvard opened its season on Nov. 10 with a tri meet against Cornell and Dartmouth. The Crimson picked up convincing victories over both teams, topping host-team Cornell, 198-102, and the Big Green, 186-114.
Columbia has not defeated Harvard since the 2013-14 season, when the Lions finished the season with an unblemished 7-0 record in Ivy League dual meets.
ON DECK
The Lions will take a brief break from dual meets to attend the Rutgers Frank Elm Invitational from Nov. 28 through Dec. 1 in Piscataway, New Jersey. This will be the third consecutive season in which Columbia has competed in the midseason event. Last year, the Lions came away with a third-place finish.
