HOME OPENER/IVY LEAGUE OPENER
No. 25 PRINCETON (2-0, 0-0 Ivy League) at COLUMBIA (2-0, 0-0 Ivy League)
Friday, September 28, 2018 • 6:02 p.m. ET • Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium • New York, N.Y.

NEW YORK—The following items are pertinent to today's home opener and Ivy League opener for Columbia Football:

  • In a pre-game ceremony, Columbia will honor Patricia and Shepard Alexander Head Coach of Football Al Bagnoli for registering his 250th career victory. Campbell Family Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Peter Pilling will present Bagnoli with a game ball from last week's Georgetown game, a 23-15 win over the Hoyas. The ceremony will occur at approximately 5:58 p.m. (2:00 on the game clock).
  • The first 400 students through the door will receive a FREE RoarLionRoar t-shirt courtesy of the Columbia Athletics Department.
  • Former Columbia Football players Bob Hauschildt '12CC and Ross Morand '12CC will serve as Honorary Captains at the pre-game coin toss. Hauschildt is a three-year letterwinner on the offensive line from 2009-11. He played in 21 career games and served as the Lions' team captain as a senior in 2011. Morand is a four-year letterwinner at defensive back who made 109 tackles (83 solo), deflected 12 passes, forced two fumbles and recovered three fumbles in his 32-game career. He also interceptions six passes and returned an interception for a 87-yard touchdown vs. Harvard on November 5, 2011. The 87-yard return ranks as the second longest interception return in school history. His career-high was two interceptions at Cornell on Nov. 14, 2009.
  • This week, the Columbia coaching staff will wear special arm patches in honor of the AFCA's Coach to Cure MD program. This is the 11th year coaches around the country join together to raise funding and awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Fans are encouraged to donate by texting "CURE" to 5055 or visiting www.CoachtoCureMD.org. Last spring, Columbia executed an on-campus Coach to Cure MD drive.
  • The Columbia Football team will depart from its locker room to the field at 5:56 p.m. ET. Fans are encouraged to line the LIONSWALK (walkway) to the field.
  • The Barnard Bacchantae choir will sing the National Anthem. The anthem will occur at approximately 5:50 p.m. ET.
  • Today's game will be nationally televised on ESPNU. It is the first time Columbia Football will appear on ESPNU. Later next month both Columbia's soccer teams will also play a game on ESPNU. The women's team will host Princeton live on ESPNU on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 3 p.m. and the men's team will host Dartmouth live on ESPNU on Friday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. ET.
